The purpose of this 3-day workshop is to gather world leading experts on Accelerator Driven Systems (ADS) and Thorium cycle technologies to:

  • Share experiences
  • Review state-of-the-art technologies with a view of offering potential deployment perspectives
  • Use areas of common interest to expedite technology readiness for full-scale ADS and Thorium fuel cycle deployment
  • Develop collaborations in areas of mutual interest

The workshop will include working sessions on:

  • ADS programs in the world
  • ADS enabling technologies
  • Progress on accelerator reliability technologies
  • Thorium based nuclear systems (subcritical and critical)
  • Scenario's combining Uranium- and Thorium-based fuel cycles
  • Front- and Back-end issues and challenges for Thorium fuel cycles
